Hello! I’m Kent Young, the founder of Pops Sawdust Shack. Our mission is to provide you with high-quality, unique, and visually stunning woodwork, whether you’re looking for small decorative pieces or larger items.

After 35 fulfilling years as a mechanical and process engineer, I decided it was time to pursue a more artistic endeavour. I have always admired those who can craft beautiful wooden pieces but never found the time to explore this passion myself.

My years spent overseas have provided me with a unique opportunity to appreciate the artistry of craftsmen from around the globe. These experiences, combined with my respect for skilled artisans, inspired me to establish Pops Sawdust Shack. The name “Pop” comes from my grandchildren, and I hope you find something here that inspires you as much as this journey inspires me.
